Congratulations to Sue Fraser and winning the Field Hockey BC Voluntary Contribution Award!!! Sue Fraser has been an integral part of the Cowichan Field hockey Association for almost 3 decades. In the past, Sue has organized and played with the Golden Oldies team and has single handedly organized and run the entire Junior program in the Cowichan Valley. She has also coached at all levels: from juniors to the U18 regional team. She has been the Captain of the Cowichan Div 3 team (VILFA League) since 1990. She has filled every role imaginable in our organization: coaching, umpiring (provincial level certification), organizing tournaments, and
conducting player evaluations at various athlete try outs. Sue has been a mentor for young players, coaches and referees. Her contribution to field hockey in the Cowichan Valley has been unparalleled.
Congratulations to Sara Goodman on winning U23 Top Senior Female of the Year.

Field Hockey BC (FHBC) is committed to helping our coaches continually expand their existing knowledge and experience. FHBC offers tailored formal coach education for community club coaches. The Rebels Field Hockey Club will be the host club for education course. This coaching course will have a Train to Train focus that follows the long term athlete development model. It will be a combination of classroom and on field education. Please come ready to play.
This offering is open to all members of Cowichan and Victoria Field Hockey, as well as Junior League, Middle School, and High School No previous coaching experience is required to participate in this course. This pathway course is offered free of charge for participants and delivered by FHBC facilitators. The location will be announced shortly. More details:
